I had a great experience at Lawsons Audio on Gordon Highway. Demarcus and Daryl (D) were both great to work with. I called to see if they could help me troubleshoot the AMR JVC radio I installed in my daughter’s Jeep, and they were able to take a look the very same day. When I got there, D was extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. The backup camera was professionally installed, all the cords were neatly hidden, and the overall setup looked clean and factory quality. What I appreciated most was that he didn’t just install everything and send me on my way. He actually took the time to educate me on wiring, explained what I did wrong, and gave me advice on how to do it better next time. That kind of customer service is hard to find. I know there’s another location, but D isn’t there, so I always come to this one. I’ve been here before when he installed my amp, woofer, and speaker upgrades in another vehicle, and the experience was just as good then too. He aims not only to install professionally, but also to educate the customer, and that really stands out.

I have to say I honestly don’t understand how this place even has bad reviews. These guys are on point. They did amazing job putting in my new Sony radio and fixing the wiring harness that was cut from the previous owner of the truck. I also love how in the store they have everything you need you don’t have to wait while they order something. Everything is in the store after the radio was put in a couple of the speaker doors were blown. It was just nice to walk right in and have multiple choices of speakers right there in front of me to go through and decide.

Had the pleasure of doing business with these fine gentleman and really took care of me with adding my gps and new head unit with HUD in my suv. Saved me tons vs the dealer and had a great warranty.

Nobody needs to spend any money at this establishment. Their installers are sub contractors.. meaning if they mess your install up.. They won't do anything about it until the SUBCONTRACTOR is available to fix it. I had a system installed in my truck. The subcontractor ran the power wire through the fire wall.. Every time it rains, my floor inside my vehicle gets wet because the water is traveling down the power wire and coming into the truck. Front passenger side floor, passenger side all the way to the rear floor board is wet when it rains. You can also see the power wire from the outside of the trucks passenger wheel. They won't let anyone else fix it. It has to be the guy who installed the system. I went by there 2 weeks ago.. the guy was on another job at another location... gave my number never received a call... had to call back today myself.. was told me was on a job and would be free... before I got there I received a call back that he was gone... family emergency... PURE RIDICULOUS.. Paid $900 for a system that is causing my floors to be wet on the inside.

For Me, their cost per hour to execute simple auto audio installations (about $200 an hour) is too expensive. There is NO Military discount. The Owner sets the non negotiable prices. When I visited the Techs wanted to work as they had no current Customers on site but I declined the project as the Owner set a price of $350 for my minor radio installation (all I required was a Wire harness to connect my speakers to my radio...all the 12V power installation I had already completed). So I took my own time, read the speaker installation instructions and installed the new radio myself. It took me 2 hours of my own time with a multimeter and some common tools to trace and identify the 4 individual OEM speaker wires. Shame they turn away Customers for their high prices when it seems the Techs wanted to work. Regrettable experience.
